Langton House Hotel and Set Theatre are delighted to welcome RTE’s Derek Mooney on Tour on Thursday February 16th 2012 at The Set Theatre, Kilkenny.

Doors close at 2.45pm sharp with the Derek Mooney show broadcasting live on RTE Radio 1 from 3pm to 4.30pm. Tickets are free and will be allocated at random.

The ticket giveaway will be open from 3pm Thursday 9th until Wednesday 15th February. The show will be the usual fun-packed Mooney on Tour with music, chat, local features and a quiz. A number of free cholesterol tests will be available before the show with a Nutritionist from Flora Pro.Activ.

Once upon a time an Old School House and an RUC Barracks now a four star hotel. Langtons as we now know it was established in 1938 by Bridie and Ned Langton as a public house with boarding rooms overhead where many first came to stay when starting their life in Kilkenny.

Langton House Hotel is now one of the leading wedding venues in the South East, has a purpose built theatre, a nightclub and an old world emporium. Although many locals may not have spent the night in one of the amazing 34 bedrooms, they will have a very special memory to share with Langtons. Whether you met your husband or wife on a night out or celebrated your birthday, your engagement, your wedding, a communion or confirmation, Langtons have been at the heart of Kilkenny life for a long time.
